Laser Doping and Superconducting Silicon

 

 

Amid other activities in the field of superconducting materials and their applications, we study the effects of the ultra-rapid phase transition that occurs during the laser – surface interaction in silicon. Silicon is a material of choice, since it boasts perfect crystallinity and can be integrated in a vast number of electronics and sensor applications. The methods developed for heavy doping of Silicon are also applied to Germanium and Group IV alloys.
